Instant Khaman Dhokla Recipe, a famous and healthy snack from Gujarat. Khaman (Besan) dhokla, is a tasty Gujarati snack. This salty snack has a texture similar to cake. This will be used to steam the dhokla.

Instructions to make Khaman dhokla:
  1. Wash and soak chana dal for 4 hours. Now remove water, take grinder jar add chana dal, besan, green chillies, citric acid and ginger, grind it coarsely. Keep it for 6-8 hours or overnight for fermentation.
  2. Now add turmeric powder, salt and asafoetida(if required add little chilli paste) and mix well.
  3. Boil water in a steamer, put greased plate/thali and cover lid. Meanwhile add hot oil and baking soda to batter, mix well. Pour batter into greased thali and steam for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the steamer and cool it for 5 minutes. Then serve with oil, locho masala,sev and chutney.
