Instructions to make Qeema karelay:
  1. Heat Oil in a pan and fry onions till golden brown.
  2. Now put whole spices & cumin seeds and fry for 1 min.
  3. Now add ginger garlic paste and saute it for few seconds and add minced beef with turmeric powder and fry till it water dries.
  4. Now add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder & tomatoes give it a good mix and let it cook till tomatoes becomes soft.
  5. Now add half cup water, cover the lid and let it cook until water dries on medium flame.
  6. Now add whole spice powder and bhunofy it untill oil seperates.
  7. Now add green chillies, tamarind pulp & leftover Karelay pyaz in it. Give it a good stir and cover the lid. Cook it for more 5 mins on low flame.
  8. Sprinkle cilantro and turn of the flame. & Voilaaa it's Yummm…
  9. Serve it with Paratha, chapati or Naan & Enjoy !

Shahzad and I love karelay and wash and peel them, apply salt and freeze in a bag. This way I do not have to go through. Keema is the Hindi name for minced meat. It can me minced beef, lamb or pork. It is very tasty and can be used for making curry, stir fry, samosa etc.
