The ingredients needed to make Sambhar:
  1. Prepare 1 cup toor dal
  2. Make ready 1 tsp turmeric pwd
  3. Take 2 cup chopped veggies (brinzal, pumpkin,gourd etc)
  4. Prepare 2 tbsp tamarind pulp
  5. Prepare 1 tsp rai
  6. Make ready 1 tsp cumin seeds
  7. Take 1 tbsp sambhar pwd
  8. Get to taste Salt
  9. Make ready 2 whole red chilli
  10. Get 6,7 Curry leaves
  11. Make ready 2 tsp oil

Sambar is a dish in South Indian and Sri Lankan Tamil cuisines, made of toor dal and veggies, sambar masala. Instructions to make Sambhar:
  1. Take a cooker,add 1 tsp oil,let it hot.add washed dal,roast it 2 mins,then add 3 glass of water,turmeric pwd.lid it,& cook it 5 mins.then remove the flame.
  2. Another pan,sprinkle some oil,let it hot,add cumin seeds,crackle it.
  3. Add chopped veggies,fry it full flame 2 mins,then remove the flame.
  4. Now open the cooker,add fried veggies.lid it again.cook it 5 mins again.
  5. Now in a wok add 1 tsp oil,let it hot.
  6. Add rai,cumin seeds,curry leaves,whole chillies.crackle all things.
  7. Add temrind plup mix it.
  8. Add sambhar masala & 1 cup of water.let it boil.
  9. Now add cooked dal & veggies.
  10. Add 2 glass of water.let it boil 10 mins.
  11. Then take it out from the flame.
  12. Sambhar is complete, enjoy with this recipe.
