  6. For sambhar- take pressure cooker pressure cook the daal with 1/2 cup of water and turmeric powder and salt for 2 -3 whistle keep a side.
  7. Soak Tamarind in 1/2 cup of water, make a pulp and strain. Now in cook daal add finely chopped this all ingredients green chilli, tomatoes, onion and drum sticks red chilli powder and cook for 1 whistle.
  8. Take a pan add the oil then add mustard seeds and when they splutter add curry leaves, red chilli powder. Saute for a minute. Add sambhar masala and mix well. Add this seasoning to the cooked daal and vegetable mix well. Add 1 1/2 cups of water, bring it to boil and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with Idli.
