  1. Get 1 cup split pigeon peas (toor Dal)
  2. Take 1 cucumber small diced
  3. Take 1 onion small diced

  7. Get 10-12 Curry leaves
  8. Take 1 tea spoon Bengal gram (chana Dal)

  12. Get 1/2 tea spoon Hing
  13. Prepare 1 lemon (juice)

Sambar is a dish in South Indian and Sri Lankan Tamil cuisines, made of toor dal and veggies, sambar masala. Steps to make Sambhar:
  1. Soak the lentin (Dal) for 1/2 an hour
  2. After 1/2 an hour pour the Dal in pressure cooker, add turmeric, Hing and salt and cook 1 whistle at high flame and 3 at low flame
  3. Now take a wok add 2 table spoon ghee,mustard seeds, whole red chilli, Curry leaves, chana Dal, urad Dal
  4. Add chopped onions, cucumber, tomato and saute for 1 min.
  5. Add salt, red pepperika, lemon juice, sambhar masala, now add cooked dal mix well and cook for 1 min sambhar is ready
  6. Enjoy
