  2. Prepare 1 chopped tomato
  3. Prepare 1 chopped onion

  7. Make ready 2 tsp garlic paste
  8. Make ready 50 gm Tamarind (imli)
  9. Get to taste salt
  10. Take 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  11. Take 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  12. Take 1 tsp mustard seeds
  13. Make ready 1 tsp cumin seeds
  14. Get 1 tsp sambhar masala
  15. Take as needed oil

Sambar is a dish in South Indian and Sri Lankan Tamil cuisines, made of toor dal and veggies, sambar masala. Steps to make Sambhar:
  1. Add dal and all vegies in a pressure cooker and boil it for two whistle.
  2. Mash this boiled mixture and set aside.
  3. Now soak tamarind in hot water and after few minutes sequeeze this and add this water in boiled vegies.
  4. Now take a pan heat oil add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and saute it.
  5. Add galrlic paste in it and mix.
  6. Add boiled vegies in it and saute for 2 -3 min.
  7. Sprinkle sambhar masala in it and it's ready.
