- Get For the Sambhar powder :
- Take 1 tbsp Dry coconut
- Get 1 tbsp Urad dal
- Take 1 tbsp Coriander

- Take 1/2 cup Toor dal

- Make ready 1/4 cup Beans cut in to 1 inch
- Prepare For seasoning :
- Get 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- Get as needed Ghee
- Prepare 1 Green chillies
- Take 1 Onion small
- Make ready 2 Tomatoes medium
Sambar is a dish in South Indian and Sri Lankan Tamil cuisines, made of toor dal and veggies, sambar masala. Steps to make Sambhar:
- Take the ingredients for powder, roast them and put them in the blender. Grind them in to powder.
- Take toor dal soaked well, add 3-4 times the water, and add the chopped vegetables. Whistle out 2-3 times in cooker. Or the veggies can be boiled separately too for not over cooking them.
- Take a pan add ghee and add in mustard seeds, curry leaves chillies and chopped onion. Stir them until light brown, then add tomatoes and nicely mix all in to great mix
- Add the dal and vegetable mix if more water required boil and add.
- Sambhar is ready.
