The ingredients needed to make Sambhar:
  1. Prepare 1 cup Aahar dal
  2. Prepare Veggies like brinjal (small)
  3. Take mixed veggies (Cauliflower,carrot, drumsticks,pumpkin, tomatoes)
  4. Make ready 2 Onion chopped
  5. Take Ciba hing little
  6. Take 1 tsp Ciba Sambhar powder
  7. Get 2 tsp Tamarind paste
  8. Make ready to taste Salt
  9. Make ready 1 tsp Ciba haldi
  10. Get Red chilli powder
  11. Make ready few Curry leaves
  12. Prepare 1/2 tsp Jira and mustard seeds for tadka
  13. Take 3-4 Red dry chill

Sambar is a dish in South Indian and Sri Lankan Tamil cuisines, made of toor dal and veggies, sambar masala. Steps to make Sambhar:
  1. First soak the dal for 1/2 hour then in pressure cooker add all veggies except onions
  2. Along with veggie add salt and haldi give 2 to 3 whistle
  3. As dal is boil with veggie mash the veggie in dal and mix it nicely
  4. In other pan prepare tadka add oil in pan along this add hig, mustard seeds, jira,dry red chilli,Curry leaves red chilli powand chopped onions
  5. When the onions r turn pink add tamarind paste and give a boil and then add boil dal with veggies
  6. Give a nice boil and add Sambhar pow serve it with idli or dosa
