  2. Take 250 gm Masoor daal

  8. Take 1 stick cinnamon
  9. Make ready 1 tbsp zeera

  11. Prepare 1 big onion (finely cut)

Mince the coriander leaves, ginger and garlic. Fry the spices on a medium heat, add the finely chopped ginger and garlic for a couple of minutes. Add the onion and cook until soft. Khichdi (also khichri, "khichdee", "khichadi", "khichuri", "khichari" and many other variants) (Urdu: کھچڑی ), is a South Asian rice dish made from rice and lentils (dal).

Instructions to make Khichri:
  1. Mix rice and daal in a bowl and soak into water for 10 minutes
  2. Take a oil in a pan, add onion into it.
  3. When onions become golden brown, add whole spices and bhonofy for a minute.
  4. Now add 2 cup water, rice and daal. There should be no excess water. U should check it continuesly.
  5. Mix it well. Cook it till rice become half tender(two kanni remaining).
  6. Do dum for 15 minutes.
  7. Serve it hot with chutney, salad and raita/ yogurt.
