Mince the coriander leaves, ginger and garlic. Fry the spices on a medium heat, add the finely chopped ginger and garlic for a couple of minutes. Add the onion and cook until soft. Khichdi (also khichri, "khichdee", "khichadi", "khichuri", "khichari" and many other variants) (Urdu: کھچڑی ), is a South Asian rice dish made from rice and lentils (dal).

Steps to make Khichri:
  1. Wash and soak dal and rice separately
  2. In a cooker add ghee, tempering then ginger garlic paste fry a bit then add onions and fry till translucent, then add vegetables fry them for a minute
  3. Add tomatoes and salt cook till tomatoes get soft, then add mentioned powdered masala cook till oil releases
  4. Add dal roast it then add rice roast it for a while then add water let it boil then cover the lid and cook in low flame till 3 whistle..
  5. Serve hot with ghee and pickle.
