The ingredients needed to make Sambhar idli:
  1. Prepare 1 cup toor dal
  2. Make ready 1 chopped lauki,potato, carrot bringle, capsicum, beans(any veggie of your choice)
  3. Take 1/4 cup peas
  4. Make ready 2-3 red tomatoes
  5. Prepare 4-6 curry leaves
  6. Prepare 2-3 pieces imli / tamarind
  7. Get as per taste Salt
  8. Take 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  9. Make ready 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  10. Prepare 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  11. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon mango powder
  12. Get 2 teaspoons everest sambhar masala
  13. Make ready 2 teaspoons Ghee
  14. Make ready 1 teaspoon Black mustard seeds
  15. Take 2 pinches Hing
  16. Prepare 1 dry red chilli

Today I am going to share with all of u a simple and yet commonly found twist to our idly and vada-Yes!! When I was visiting South India a couple of decades back with my college friends, I had the perfect advice from my mother and I follow it till date. Idli Sambar Recipe-Sambar for Idly Dosa. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with idli or dosa or pongal.

Instructions to make Sambhar idli:
  1. Take a bowl of imli add water leave 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a presser cooker add dal, chopped potato, bean,lauki, brinjal,etc add some water cover lid and cook 3 whistles. Open pressure cooker after pressure releases and mix
  3. Another side make a paste of tomato in the mixture.Heat a pan add 2 teaspoon ghee now add rai(black mustard seeds) add hing,red dry chilli,and curry leaves after few minutes add tomato paste and all spices like turmeric, red chilli, coriander powder, mango powder, sambhar masala roast 5 to 8 mints.
  4. Now add all masala in dal and water mix proper cook 2 minS after add imli water and salt cook 5 to 10 minuteS and garnish coriander leaves and serve.
