Sambar is a dish in South Indian and Sri Lankan Tamil cuisines, made of toor dal and veggies, sambar masala. Steps to make Sambhar:
  1. Heat oil and temper cumin seed,mustard seeds and curry leaves
  2. Now add the sliced vegetables and saute well
  3. Add salt and turmeric powder and cover till it is soft
  4. Now add red chilli Powder and mix
  5. Add sambar masala mix
  6. Pour the boiled daal and let it simmer
  7. Add tamarind pulp and sugar
