Sambar is a dish in South Indian and Sri Lankan Tamil cuisines, made of toor dal and veggies, sambar masala. Steps to make Sambhar:
  1. Soak the daal half an hour before cooking
  2. Pressure cook the daal adding salt and turmeric powder
  3. Heat a pan add oil and tamper the whole jeera, mustard and dry red chilli
  4. Add curry leaves and saute for a few seconds
  5. Now add the veggies salt turmeric and red chilli Powder and mix well
  6. Cover the veggies till it gets soft
  7. Now add the sambhar masala and ginger paste and mix well
  8. Add the boiled daal and mix well
  9. Finally add the tamarind pulp and sugar.
  10. The sambhar is ready to serve
