  10. Take 1 tbsp dhania jeera powder
  11. Prepare 11/2 tbsp jaggery
  12. Prepare 2 dry cocum/ 1/2 lemon juice
  13. Take to taste Salt
  14. Take Finely chopped fresh coriander leaves to garnish
Instructions to make Arhar Tadka Dal (my style):
  1. Wash split pigeon peas(arhar/toor dal) trice in water. Soak in 1 glass of water for 1 hour. Pressure cook soaked arhar dal for 4 whistles.
  2. As steam escape from pressure cooker, open the cooker lid. Take out pressure cooked dal container. Whisk cooked dal. Add tumeric powder,red chilli powder,dhania jeera powder,salt and jaggery in it.
  3. In a vessel add,heat ghee.Add fenugreek seeds,as it turns pink,add mustard cummin seeds, as splutter, add chopped green chillies, ginger, curry leaves and asafoetida. Off the flame. Pour this tadka on prepared dal.
  4. Pour this tadka dal mixture back in vessel. Add 1/2 glass of water and cocum and boil on medium-low flame for 5 mins. At the time of serving garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  5. Serve/Relish Delicious Hot Arhar Tadka Dal with rotis, subzi, boiled rice in lunch meal.
