  4. Cut out strips from the square and arrange on a lined baking sheet. Cover and allow to rest for a further 15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, make the garlic butter. Mix the melted butter, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper in a bowl. With a brush, apply a generous amount on the tops of the bread.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 250°C for 10 minutes. The baking time depends on the type of oven. The bread sticks should be soft and have a uniform golden colour.
  7. Serve it warm. If desired, you can drizzle cheese sauce over it.
