  1. In a medium saucepan bring broth to a boil.
  2. Add the cornmeal in slowly. Whisk continously to keep mixture from clumping. Switch to a flat wooden spoon once mixture starts to thicken.
  3. Allow to simmer gently until cooked to desired consistency, approximately 20 minutes.
  4. Season with salt and black. Serve immediately as pap stiffens up as it cools.
