  1. For making kadhi, heat oil and temper it adding cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and curry leaves. Saute for a while until they splutter together. Add onions and saute well.
  2. Prepare masala for kadhi. Add ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric and Coriander powder. Add some water and cook well.

  6. Wash khichdi (rice and green moong daal) and add to masala. Add enough water and let it boil. Cover the lid of pressure cooker and let cook on high flame until 1 whistle. Then cook on low flame for 5 to 7 minutes. When the pressure releases open the lid.
  7. Serve with kadhi and papad.
