The ingredients needed to make Rawa masala idli:
  1. Take 1/2 kg rawa
  2. Get 1/4 kg curd
  3. Prepare 2 tsp salt
  4. Take 1.1/2 tsp cooking soda
  5. Get 1 onion finely chopped
  6. Take 1 carrot grated
  7. Get 1 capsicum
  8. Make ready 1 tsp red chilli powder
  9. Prepare 1 tsp amchur powder
  10. Take 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
  11. Make ready 150 gms tur dal
  12. Get 2 onion
  13. Get 1 potato
  14. Prepare 6 tomatoez (grind in a mixer)
  15. Make ready 4-5 green chilli
  16. Take leaves Curry
  17. Take 1 tsp Coriander
  18. Get 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  19. Get 1 tbsp sambhar masala
  20. Make ready Salt as per taste
  21. Get 1 tsp mustard seeds.
  22. Prepare 4-5 tbsp oil
  23. Get 1/2 cup tamarind pulp

Instructions to make Rawa masala idli:
  1. Process for idlis
  2. Firstly mix rawa and curd by adding little water and salt. - Keep for fermenting for an hour.
  3. Once the batter is fermented if necessary add sum water accordingly to the thickness.
  4. Now divide the batter into two parts. - Add 3/4 tsp soda in in one part steam for 7_8 mins or till done..
  5. Process for masala idlis.
  6. Now take the other part of batter. - Just add onion finely chopped carrot grated.capsicum.
  7. Add the spices red chilli powder - amchur powder.Coriander leaves and mix it well
  8. Finally give rai ka tadka to the batter - Add 3/4 tsp baking soda - Mix well and steam.
  9. Enjoy with chutney
  10. Process for sambhar
  11. Boil tur dal along with 1 onion and potato cut into very small pieces.
  12. Meanwhile in another pan heat oil add mustard seeds.
  13. When they start spiltering add onion cut into lenghtwise add saute till pinkish.
  14. Add green chillies curry leaves and stir well..
  15. Now add red chilli powder and mix well.
  16. Add the tomato puree salt and cook on medium flame till oil seperates.
  17. Add the boiled dal..but before adding the dal mix it well i so that onion and potato gets mashed and there are no lumps in dal..
  18. Add the tamarind pulp and let it boil for 15_20 mins..
  19. Finally at the last add sambhar masala stir well and off the flame..
  20. Garnish with coriander. - Now take 1 tbsp of oil and 1 tsp of red chilli powder..and give tadka.(optional)
  21. Enjoy the yummiiii idlis with sambhar and chutney.
